One of my market leading client is urgently looking for a Data Compliance Lead to join their team in The UK. This is a great opportunity to work in the IT sector with exposure to new technologies and an international environment
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies for the GDP
- Design and monitor control systems to deal with violations of legal rules and internal policies
- Regularly assess the efficiency of control systems and recommend effective improvements
- Refine how data is classified
- Reporting on all activities relating to compliance with key metrics
- Design, validate and implement a repository of standard reports and dashboards that facilitate the development, monitoring and evaluation of our platform
- Coordinate all compliance-related activities
- Responsible for taking part in audits
- Reviewing and coordinating findings from audits
- Ensure all audit actions have a named owner, remediation plan and are delivered in line with agreed dates
- Monitor and manage all GDPR compliance including data deletion
- Work closely with Legal and Security teams
- Professional qualifications in Compliance can be helpful
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a position with comparable complexity
- Minimum 3 years of experience within compliance with a proven strong understanding of a data platform and it’s challenges
- Experience of working in a Global environment
- Comfortable with ambiguity and frequent change
- Ability to work collaboratively across all areas within the team
- Able to work under pressure with a flexible approach
- Able to work on own initiative, prioritizing tasks and managing time appropriately
