As a preferred supplier to one of the biggest clients, I am seeking a Solution Architect in Leeds on a permanent basis.

Job description
* Successful candidate should have Data Solution Architecture Experience.
* Knowledge in the following MS Azure data technologies.

1. Azure data lake
2. Azure data factory
3. Azure SQL DB
4. Azure synapse
5. Power BI
6. Databricks

OLAP technology experience (SSAS or Essbase) is preferred.
* Working with Businesses Analysts and key Business Stakeholders to understand the chang-ing needs of our business and shape the solutions that are needed.
* Consulting models and stakeholders to perform impact analysis and make recommenda-tions on application landscape changes.
* Owning the design for one or more projects and providing technical leadership for the pro-ject teams.
* Collaborating closely with roles in Technology and vendor to produce high level designs, us-ing modelling tools, and bringing these through design governance.
* Participating in a thriving and growing architecture community, including peer reviews, con-sultation, and support
* Ability to approach design with timeliness, cost and quality factors in mind.  Risk identifica-tion and mitigation, quantification, and qualification non-functional and functional re-quirements. 
* Ability to present at Design Authority and other decision-making forums, and gain consen-sus from a variety of stakeholders. 

Required Skills
* Hands on Solutions Architect experince is required.
* Background in IT Application Solution Design.
* Experience in solution design and a real passion for current trends including mobile and az-ure cloud technologies.
* Awareness of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, but this is desirable and not essen-tial.
* Agile experience and awareness of ERP solutions is beneficial.
* Experience in Retail, or at least operating in an enterprise-scale environment is desirable.
